For my dissertation project, I created Renovo; providing smart, gamified, home telerehabilitation for stroke patients with dysarthria and dysphagia, improving their speech while keeping them motivated with therapy.
Placing Renovo in the mouth allows the patient to control games using their tongue on the Renovo app, exercising, and strengthening their tongue. The app records and sends the data automatically to their therapist for progression tracking.
Renovo is customisable with a removable front plate. A lips exerciser add-on can be attached via magnets, allowing the whole mouth to be exercised.
